Tim's famous modification of the old "Honest Abe Century Ride." The old ride was relatively flat by comparison and went all the way to Lincoln's Boyhood Home. The "Dishonest" version features two challenging climbs, Holsclaw and Brooks, near the start and finish of the ride and goes only as far as New Haven, not to the Boyhood Home.
The ride this day featured a couple of rerouting diversions due to unexpected flooding and unfortunately included a near-miss for one rider who locked wheels with another and narrowly escaped a collision with an auto. However, nobody was hurt and camaraderie was quickly restored.
Larry ‘Gizmo’ Preble, the current Tour De Mad Dog Yellow Jersey holder had the "honor" of drawing the random card to pick the stage winner for this round and ended up drawing the name of his closest rival, Scott Kuchenbrod. Congratulations to Stage Winner Scott, and to the new holder of the Yellow Jersey.
